That won't happen until there is another revolution. Seriously. Too many people make too much money (and thus have too much power) to let that ever happen.
Dumb cap n' trade tax. Hey, how about this. We cap all legislature to 50k a year, and cap all government (non military government) to 60k a year. Cap YOUR asses first, lead the country by example. THEN try to cap CEOs. I see too much crap to the people, how about the guys on top making and passing these bills take the hit first, tell us how great it is, and then give it to the people.

Huh?
How can "too many" people making "too much" money be bad?

And don't forget who funded the last revolution war that America fought.

Seriously special interest is the reason why the legislature gets corrupt, what a bunch of a-holes.

I guess I wasn't clear enough, and I probably still wont be.

What I was trying to say is that there are many many people at the upper echelons of American society who's wealth and power (mostly power) is dependent on keeping the "system" as it remains today. It is not in their own self interest to go back to a more constitutionally based system, and therefore they will ensure that such an event does not happen. Most elected officials of both parties fall into this category.
