With an estimated national divorce rate over a married couple's lifetime of 42%-50% depending on the study you read, it would seem to me this divorce is nothing unusual. If the divorce rate was something <1-15% I might find this funny, but with such a high divorce rate for more 'tradional' couples this really doesn't seem all that out of line.

The real point here anyway is that this particular couple were key proponents of gay marriage, but it seems that in their twisted and demented version of marriage, there's not much reason to try and "work it out."

i Know plenty of married couples that dont have kids..
Your logic is flawed dip****.
Who knows what caused their breakup... but it is most likley along the same lines as what would have caused a straight marriage to break up (im sure the limelight didnt help things as well).
Anyways hella you are a ****ing idiot who needs to meet darwin ASAP

P.S.- so the **** what if they split up? The possibility that a same-sex marriage won't last indefinitely should be used as an argument against said marriages about as often as the argument that your progeny could possibly become mass murderers, televangelists or *gasp* homosexuals and therefore you should be sterilized.
