Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Jim Mc Greevy, John Kerry, Ted Kennedy (big dig)

Oh wait I forgot, I would be a racist or a bigot for calling a minority or a gay corrupt. And don't forget Gavin Newsome for favoring bums over families.

You Know what, forget about your lame little game of pretending one side is more virtous than the other. You showed your true colors when you decided that the clintons and sandy the thief were excluded. Besides, when was the last time a liberal won an election? It's hard to blame someone who's not in office.

So you've got nothing. I told you, I want contemporary examples. EVERY ONE of my examples details a republican and an indictment or guilty plea made this year.

I was able to find them all, using google, in under five minutes.

Your one year constraint is ridiculous, it's been a year since the frickin election therefore the corruption your alleging probably invalidates itsself.

That is by far the lamest arguement I have EVER seen in the politics forum. Contemporary??? Are you kidding me? Sounds to me like you're so blind to reality you shudder to think that someone just might reveal some facts to you. God forbid you open your eyes and inform yourself.

Despite the 'one year thing', a list of names is not a list of indictments and charges or convictions...

The thing that makes this thread so assanine are the little rules set up for presenting evidence or allegations of corruption.
All I was saying is that corruption happens in all political circles. And if you really think it only finds it's way to one side, I feel sorry for you.

I agree with you. It does happen on both ends of the spectrum. It just so happens that it is happening to the Repubs lately more than the dems.

Agreed but VIBEELEVEN's point about the thread is so true. You can't expect the political party in charge to go on a witch hunt trying to prove wrong-doing on the Dems. First off, they have no need to. They've already got a firm hand on Congress and Bush is in charge (like it or not). Secondly, they don't have time. I'd rather have people calling BS on me everyday and ignore it then worry about them calling it and forget to do my job. It's ignorant to think that one party is innocent over another when they both play the same game in the same day-in-age.

I understand that and never said that one party is innocent more than the other.

I just cannot remember so many politicians being investigated or indicted than we have heard about in the last year, thats all.

If they did something wrong they should be punished regardless of political stance.

And I totally agree. If they broke the law then hook Sparky up and wet the sponge. That being said though, I honestly think that the Dems are so pissed off and have lost so much Congressional weight that they have to do this. They're going to have their work cut out for them in the next election year. I can't blame them for doing it because if I was in their shoes I'd be fighting tooth and nail to get my point across. I'll be the first to admit that Bush doesn't even take the lefts views into consideration (even in the least). Maybe if he did they wouldn't be so up-in-arms about the entire situation.

Come on now.

I was easily able to find five or six easily corrobable demonstrations of republicans breaking the law. ALL of my instances are from the recent past.

If you want to posit that democrats are JUST AS CULPIBLE as republicans, do the same.

At the very least, demonstrate what your alleged perpetrators of corruption did.

"Kennedy-the big dig"

doesn't mean a damn thing.

Anyway, at this point, you've lost miserably.

....no, but you have failed to demonstrate corruption in any of these cases.

We're only allowed to post Democrats who broke the law on Black Friday in sub-52 degree weather in states that contain more than 3 vowels though right?
