Oh yeah, gross generalizations in regards to a program you are not in favor. Yeah, those are some cold hard facts for sure.

everyone has the same opportunities that RussB had... went to public K-12 schools. put myself through community college and state college by working 30+ hours a week. was it hard work? yes. was it tiresome? yes. was it difficult? at times.

was it worth it? **** yes.

I admit that I have no hard facts to back up my claim.
Do you have facts to the contrary?

I'm going off of ~30 years of personal experience.

And some more.

Roughly 10% of the families in California are on welfare.

This reminds me of my ethnic studies class where everyone but me wanted welfare to expand to help more people since it had holes in it and people who try get screwed, but when i spoke and said that is part of life its not easy everything has problems and there is no perfect system i get asked to leave for not being open minded.

Between that and how hard immigration is i wanted to kill myself.

My 2cents are i think its ok for a short period of time since **** does happen but I've seen people living on it my whole life, i grew up in lake county, and people who pop out kids just to get more money.
