I'm serious he went on this rant about how confusing Obama is and how "I paid $30k to go to Harvard and even I don't understand."

I'm not quite sure what emotion he is trying to appeal to in his viewers. Basically, how I understood it is... "We don't understand so it must be wrong!"

I find it even funnier how most of his viewers in the south can probably use the healthcare reform.

That being said, can either of you clearly explain how BarryCare will work?
As I have pointed out, it appears to be a Catch-22 for me:

I must pay a base amount tax for a Health care scheme that I do not qualify to use, which means that I must also pay for my own private healthcare insurance.

Buuut, according to BarryCare, if I maintain my own private healthcare insurance, I will be penalized an additional 8% penalty.

Now please explain the fairness of this proposed scheme?

BTW, this scheme is illegal, Constitutionally-speaking of course...

I never said if I was for or against the plan, I was simply taking a jab at O'Riely.
And obviously I've never met you before, but from your posts I can see you lean pretty far to the right. I thought you might be one of the loyal Fox News viewers. :)

Yeah that was a tongue in cheek statement, but I don't know ANY intelligent people that watch or agree with Bill O'Liely. From my own experience, the only people I have met who agree with him struggle with racism, agreed with EVERYTHING Bush did, and know more about the healthcare issue right now then they ever knew about the Patriot Act. If these same people would have said anything negative about the Patriot Act... then I would give them a little credit.. but you can really tell who the people are that spew O'Liely's beliefs.

For the record, this thread was about bashing O'Liely's stupidity in his response to Obama's speech a little bit ago.

Why the rush to pass this bill?! Even Obama hasn't read the 1000 page proposed legislation himself! Bill just called it how he saw it...Obama didn't explain in detail who is going to pay for this...he could have done it like Ross Perot...HAVE A CHART!!! This is scary people...this is not a JOKE!!! I find it funny that people complain about "legislation takes forever to pass and bureaucracy is dumb". Now that someone is trying to move from Flintstones era to Model T, they are like "SLOW DOWN! We don't want anything to pass THAT FAST!"

There are bills not being read and being passed all the time. This one won't go that fast, anyways.. IDK why everyone is crying.

I'm all for Health care reform...this reform seems like patient dumping for me! They say there are almost 50 million uninsured people in the USA...who knows how many illegals factor in that. For example...my Uncle from Canada had to come to the U.S. to have heart surgery because Canada won't do it!!! This is what this Bill will be!! The govt will decide what is best for YOU!!! Patient/Doctor confidentiality is out the window..the GOVT will know also!! America is top shelf when it comes to health care...I don't know if it will be in the future.

I actually won't benefit from it and I don't even agree with Obama's health care plan. But something does need to change. That is all.
