Need help choosing strut/ spring combo
I just installed new perrin sway bars in the front and rear. Now I'm looking to install new struts because the rear end makes a lot of cracking noise when I carry people with me and go over bumps. My car is stock height right now with 215x45x17 tires.
My cousin is runnin Megan Racing Track Series Coilovers and he like them. But i wanna see what others say.And some ppl said I should look more into strut spring combo. I would not mind lowering it 1-1.5 inches maxxx.
I want to be able to carry 3 other ppl in my car and not worry about scrapin, I would like a smooth ride not too bumpy. It's pretty much just a daily driver car and during the winter time I spend a lot of my time up in the mountains in the snow.
What combo have u guys tried and liked

Koni yellows.

Forget coilovers. They are going to be cheap and horrible ride quality or nice ride but $3000...
Koni yellows have adjustable stiffness and ride awesome!

I'm on stock springs, but the height has dropped a bit from the Konis.

However, the car used to be a lot lower when it was on ****ty coilovers.

My car is on RCE Black Springs and Tokico D-Specs. I like this combo but I have great things about Konis as well.
I've had coilover in the past (Tein Flex and Helix DNAs) and I would go with springs/struts. OP, you can get the ride you are looking for from springs/struts; no need for coilovers.

A coilover set-up replaces the entire spring/strut assembly.
Springs/struts

Coilovers

They're both built in a similar way, but the components, in this case, springs, are not interchangeable.

If in doubt, FLAT OUT

What endlinks did you get? The bars should not make noise unless the bushings were not lubed properly, but some of their endlinks are known to. Did you also upgrade the rear mounts? Heavier sways will put a lot of stress on the stock mounts.
It is entirely possible the springs are making noise as well, because I've heard that about pinks more than once.
