Beginners Guide to Wheel fitment. No More Posting "Will these fit" Questions!!

18x9.5 +35mm offset means its an 18 inch rim that is 9.5 inches wide and the offset is +35 mm. in a nut shell to do this on a 11 wrx you will need to roll and probably pull your fenders as well as add a bunch of camber

He won't need a pull, just a roll. I know people with 18x10 +30s with just a roll and thats on 08-10 bodystyle. Having a 2011 will giver you a good half inch or more of extra room.

New to GH's but I've been doing some research on this particular wheel fitment on the '11 WRX's as well- isn't an optimal offset between +40 and +47?

Not necessarily. There isn't an optimal offset per say. But the stock wheel offset is around there.
But what is being discussed here is aggressive fitments (+35 and lower).

Hate to revive an old thread but imprezard are you saying a 18x10 +30 would have no problems running on a 2011 WRX with just a fender roll? I'd probably need a skinny tire right? 245/40? or 255?

I am saying if you had 18x10 +30s on a 08-10 WRX all you need is a roll, which of course has much smaller fenders. As for the 2011s you get a bit more room to play with so fitting a 255 should fit fine. I had 18x9 +35s with a 265/35 on my 08 wrx with just a roll.

18x9.5 and +38 offset will rub in the rear w/ 255/35 (Dunlop star spec) on stock susp. Solved by a minor roll. (no pulling necessary)
