Lots of pb blast (it like wd 40) to loosen up the bolts, and a long handle or breaker bar to torque the bolt loose.

breaker bar is easiest way to do it if you dont have an impact gun. i can help you out but im located in san jose and i dont think i want to haul my air tank over to your area llol

where's the car at?

if it's in san ramon, i have an electric impact i can bring over......

BREAKER BAR FTW :D hahahahaha. Seriously tho, breaker bar, or air tools. Use lots of pb/wd whatever you have to penetrate that shiet.

Hella pb blaster and a cheapo craftsman half inch breaker. My theory is if you have to borrow a tool more than once then u should probably purchase one of your own. That, and a half inch breaker is a pretty standard tool to have in your box.

I don't know how many times a half inch breaker has saved my ass. :), and PB blaster is great for everything. You can even use it in bed if you really needed to get things started.

^^^ haha

I slide my jackhandle over my ratchet to break those bolts.

Urban_Grey_2.5 01-22-2011 05:27 PM

I used a 4 ft cheater bar and WD40 to get mine off last weekend...

Floor jack handle on a 1/2" breaker bar and some PB = no sweat.

queeg9k 04-29-2011 09:01 AM

cheater pipes!!! and penetrating lube!!!
I hate wd40 pb blaster is ok but I prefer AeroKroil or SiliKroil http://www.kanolabs.com/

twofortydrifter 11-15-2011 11:29 AM

Yeah. Just go find or buy a 3 or 4 foot length of tough piping that will sleeve over your beefiest 19mm wrench (or 18mm, can't remember), use craploads of wd40 or pb blaster and grunt away. It'll come loose eventually. (Might break your big wrench or what have you. Tools do that sometimes though, especially on those knuckle bolts.)
