Help: will 05+ sti lateral links fit on my bugeye?

If I use a sti rear sway and sti endlinks, I should be able to use the sti endlinks as well right?? I know the "will this fit my suspension" thread says it won't, but why won't it? It makes sence to me that as long as I get the supporting parts mentioned above that it should work. Someone with knowlegde on this subject please help me.
