correcting uneven pad deposition?

Hi guys,

I went to thunderhill yesterday and I am pretty sure I got some uneven pad deposition (steering wheel and pedal shudder under braking, there are some spots on the rotor)

I suspect this was caused by not cooling down the brake pads appropriately between sessions (i just parked after my session, didn't drive around the paddock.. i didn't think i was that hard on the brakes yesterday....)

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can correct this? I read on the stoptech site that I could swap in a set of Hawk Blue brake pads to scrub the rotor clean. I don't have a set of hawk blues handy.. so is there anything else I can do to correct this problem?

thanks!

from what you're describing, sounds like the rotors are warped, i'd just suggest getting new rotors.

What is your current brake setup (pads, rotors, calipers, lines, fluid)

If you swapped-in different pads for Thunderhill, which ones did you use?

You'd be surprised at how hard a track day can be on brakes.
