correcting uneven pad deposition?
Hi guys,
I went to thunderhill yesterday and I am pretty sure I got some uneven pad deposition (steering wheel and pedal shudder under braking, there are some spots on the rotor) I suspect this was caused by not cooling down the brake pads appropriately between sessions (i just parked after my session, didn't drive around the paddock.. i didn't think i was that hard on the brakes yesterday....) Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can correct this? I read on the stoptech site that I could swap in a set of Hawk Blue brake pads to scrub the rotor clean. I don't have a set of hawk blues handy.. so is there anything else I can do to correct this problem? thanks! |
from what you're describing, sounds like the rotors are warped, i'd just suggest getting new rotors.

What is your current brake setup (pads, rotors, calipers, lines, fluid)
If you swapped-in different pads for Thunderhill, which ones did you use? You'd be surprised at how hard a track day can be on brakes. |
