Yeah I am in AL but thes kits come direct from Stoptech in CA so they charge me for it on every order that they ship in CA....it sux I know. But I will work with you on the price for that don't worry. For the Silver it would take about 14 days lead time or less.
Let me know what you would like to do!
You will still get a WAY better price then buying them from Stoptech or anywhere else for that matter!

I'm going to try to find someone to ship to out of state. If I do that, can I avoid CA sales tax? If so, please let me know how to order the Silver. My track event is on 3/22. The Suby Day at Buttonwillow

johnw - Yeah sure thing! I hate having to charge for that stupid tax but they charge me for it. It doesn't matter to me if it is convenient for you to have it shipped out of state then we can avoid the CA tax. Works for me. Yeah if we are going to make that date with enough time for you to get them installed and all then we need to place the order this week!

is that 1799 for the front and back bbk or 1799 for each of them?

neuro - I said "as of right now"...I talked to Stoptech and they are in development for the rear BBK but it is not out yet. So it is fine to upgrade the front with a BBK without upgrading the rear and it still function fine. When you upgrade some of the little things like better rotors (slotted) and SS brake lines and pads it will help to better balance out the ratio of the system.

Brian,
Do you have the weights for each of these sets? It would be helpful for people to know - what's the lightest set out there for each design. 4 POT/6POT and 2 pc hat/rotors, vs solid vs vented - ugh, so many choices!
Anyone else know? Is there a page or website with this kind of info?

Hey that is a good question! No one has documented the specific weights for the kits...that I know of anyways. I wouldn't think that the weight difference is to much for the slotted vs. drilled. But the calipers would weigh different. No one has ever asked that question before. I can check with Stoptech and see if they might know the specific weight. You trying to figure on racing and needing to save the most weight as possible??

Actually, more important is the rotor weights. Obviously, solid vs 2 pc hat/rotor designs will be much different. Unsprung weight is the concern - and the lighter the better a racing brake overall. Its just so confusing what these manufacturers are selling - in regards to brake sets. They all stop, but which perform the best for which situation (using which specific pads) - that may help the buyer decide. ie. STreet vs track scenarios.
I myself am deciding - but don't see which will be the best for my car - seems like I will just stay stock until I can figure it out.
