Trying to get a 2004...
Well I'm headed off to the dealer to see if I can re-strike a deal on a 2004 WRX. I'm kind of hesitant doing it but I think in the long run, it will be worth it. If all is well, I will be leaving VW and going back to Japanese. I let go of a Honda before going German.
I hate to sound so noobish but is there anything I should be aware of before delivery delivery? If I am approved, I won't take it home just yet.
Thanks.

What was your VW? If it was a Golf/GTI, you'll absolutely love the WRX. The only advice I have for you is to always shift smoothly and don't be harsh on it. As long as you do that, it will be one of the most reliable cars you will ever own.

The antenna is in the back window on 04 models.
I just bought a 2004 WRX and I'm coming from Hondas. My brother owns a 2000 VW Jetta VR6 and the reliablilty of it has been much lower than I would expect. My roommate owns a BMW which has not been reliable for him. I'm sure Subaru will be better than that. I bought a 100,000 mile warranty for $17 extra a month just to be safe.

That's just because we only hear about the bad incidents. We never hear about the thousands of other people that are pleased with Subaru warranties.

I'm doing the same. I have a 2000 GTI VR6 that is coming off lease. As much as I like the overall package of the GTI, especially with the six cylinder, the reliability and service is really horrible. I've heard good things about Subaru and the WRX so I'll give it a shot and maybe go back to VW in three years if they have worked out their reliability and customer service issues.

I told him it was in the glovebox if they want to put it on but good look with keeping it on the front of the car.
