Does the pump turn freely or is there unusually high resistance? Is it noisy?
Same for the alternator as it is on the same belt.
Also check the pulley alignment and make sure they are in line with each other and not bent.

Try to find out where the squeak is coming from, it could be the pump, alternator or the idler. If the idler is seized that could cause the belt to break. While the belt is off, spin the idler as well as the accessories, it should spin freely and not have excessive play or make noise as it spins. If it's seized, stiff or noisy replace it.

Could a belt that's on too tight cause this to happen?

Thumbs up

Well today for the 3rd time i went to go put on the belt.. i spun the pulleys dont look warped or anything.. i spun the alt. sounds good to me.. there was a lot of black rubber all over my motor from the belt i thought maybe somthing was slicing the belt from some where but couldnt find anything my last guess with this is that its probobly the pump thats shot.. the pully thats on the pump is it normal if its loose as in flexible kinda i dont know how to explain it but if you jerk it back and forth it moves a bit unlike the other pullys that are pretty solid.. im not sure im thinking its the pump.. well im gona drive with this belt on and see what happens...thanks for the reply mudder... anymore info would be great thanks again...

So you checked the idler and it's ok?
If you're saying the PS pulley has play in it that doesn't sound right. By any chance were you doing donuts in the snow with the wheel at full lock? That will destroy the pump.

the ps pulley thats the bigger one connect to the pump does have play in it.. if i were to grab it with my hands and pull it bak and forth it will have play.. and by the way ****t i was messing around in the snow that last snow fall we had 1 foot of snow in ny.. **** i guess it is the pump then...

Yep as you may have just found out the hard way, holding the wheel at full lock while at higher RPMs is very, very bad for the PS pump. Every winter there are a bunch of "broke my PS pump" posts. If this problem has only started since your donut session that's probably the cause. I assume your power steering doesn't work too well (while the belt is still in one piece)?

I can't give you advice on the suspension, that is entirely up to you and what you want from the car. I'd suggest doing some research in the suspension forums here and at NASIOC, there is plenty of info regarding the pros and cons of various suspension mods.
FWIW though mine is 100% stock except for "plus zero" tires (225/50/16) and aftermarket wheels.
Good luck with the pulley/pump situation, post back when you get it resolved.
