miss-firing??? (please don't move thread)

My coil has copperd over a little, i havent checked the plugs yet. i'll do it tom. but it just started and its usually between 3 and 4 grand that i missfire (loose power, feels weak). the plugs and wires are both about 9,000 miles old.. does anyone know what else it could be? i'm not smoking (but i'll find out if it's seal tom.) please any input would be nice.

I moved your post. It belongs in Maintenance & Warranty rather than the General forum.

Did you gap plugs to factory specs before installation? If you have a volt-ohmmeter, you can check for plug cable resistance to see if one or more of them has a break in the conductor by showing much higher resistance.

It's also possible the ignition coil itself is failing but check the other things first.

2.5's don't really like anything other than the OEM or NGK Copper (which is what the OEM's are). Really check the plug wire connections and the gap on the plugs. I've recently had some misfiring which I have narrowed down to the Bosch Platinum plugs that were in it. I replaced with the right plugs and new factory wires and the car runs great.
