I'm considering the purchase of an '06 STI, either black or silver, but first I wanted to confirm that there are people out there, near DC, who would be interested in an '06 WRX for STI trunk trade before I go through with the purchase. Is there any interest in this out there? Please send me a message and I'll keep you informed of my purchase status.

Also, just for my own information as a new owner, do people typically do the tear-down install of the trunk themselves or take it to a body shop or dealer to ensure proper alignment of the trunk (a good seal for the trunk to make sure it closes properly and doesn't leak).

My '06 STI in Obsidian Black Pearl has about 100 miles on it and I am considering swapping for a standard WRX trunk lid and spoiler. The car is located in SW Virginia, near Tennessee.

I would also consider an outright purchase of your trunk if you have upgraded to a CF or similar piece.
