WRC engine bay.. so clean

How does the WRC car's engine bay look soo clean? Theres no ugly wires or hoses all over the place.. is it dressed up just for show?

Also, any info on that sti fmic.. does sti make it or is it just tagged. If I got that fmic I'd want to relocate my airbox under the hood scoop too.. where would you get the parts for that, is it all custom?

(just saw this pic in the great intake debate)

You can get rid of all those hoses and wires by removing all of the comforts you need for a street car such as A/C, heat, radio, all of the gauges, airbags and sensors, bumper fillings, windsheild washer fluid, abs and sensors and all the other crap you dont think about.

That raises an interesting question, what happens when it rains?

yea the location of the intake I dunno.. with the reverse hood scoop and hood scoop it seems like if you had water spray on the ic the water would run right into the hood scoop. rain would really suck

they probably have something simular to the aem water bypass thingy for cold air intakes. i havent had any problems with water getting to my engine when it rains, my filter comes right off from the manifold and i removed the plate from under my hood scoop.
