So, I recently developed the dreaded rod knock on my 2013 WRX. I purchased the SUBARU Gold Plus warranty which it is still under.
I'm in the process of returning to stock (was E85) and I'm going allllll the way, even back to stock wheels and cat back to be safe.
BUT
I upgraded my clutch last year, and that was a b*tch of and install. I really don't want to drop the trans and re install the stock clutch.
So, has anyone made a claim with an upgraded clutch before? Also, I'm concise ring just leaving it and A) it all works out no big deal or B) If the raise a stick (half way into repairing) maybe I can talk them into nearing me half way since a 3 year old subie with 46K miles shouldn't spin a rod bearing regardless
