Urgent: what the heck do these parts do?! (pics)
I removed these from behind the rear seats. Do I need the item in the first picture? (the blue bar) Can I remove it safely?
well well well. if it isnt pie boy 
the blue bar is a sort of crossbar so the rear seat wont fall through the big hole if you were to get into a accident.
the black plastic with holes is just a boad to keep the sound deadening/carpet from falling down.. both of them are removed from my car..

Wholly separate question. I want to reduce road noise. I'm looking at that plastic thing and the tarp thing. What's a better solution?
