yeah, UNOCAL makes it but, not in a lot of quanties.

 

about 2-3 years ago i saw 100 octane at a sunoco station... but it wasnt there for long, the fact that is cost 5$ a gallon couldnt have helped

 

$5 a gallon seemed about right to me. Then again I've lived in Japan for the last three years. Now if only they'd offer 104 octane. That stuff smells so good coming out the back of a car with a nice straight exhaust.

 

I cant wait to see the rice boys in their stock engine civics lining up for race gas.

Race fuel? Being new to the idea of a turbocharged engine, I have to wonder, with a factory turbo/boost controller, would this really even make a bit of difference?

Sure, 100 octane is nice, and all ... But, if there's no benefit, unless I have an MBC, and other mods. I don't see the point..... yet.

 

Yes it does! Still, I can't say I'll ever want to own a car that requires 100/104 octane gas... it's a lot cooler to pump in premium and still get massive power. Case-in-point: Corvette ZO6 - it makes 405 hp and only costs as much to fill up as your grandpa's caddy!

 

I'm thinking 1/2 tank full for the very hot open track days at Waterford Hills Raceway, MI. Oh, yeah, I do have "Type R" stickers and an OEM large rear spoiler. Care to join me?
