Yeah, I was sorta disapointed by the article too. The 50,000 dollar wrx was unjustifiable. On the other hand, the rally performance model should be a benchmark for everyone to start by. I thought it was damn impressive that they got all that extra power for the tiny amount of money they invested. It was sorta cool to see how the vishnu tuned setup ran against the sti though since their package is popular. I thought it was worthwhile just to see things such as reallife testing of carious aftermarket suspension parts and stuff like that. I can't wait till they get their hands on an sti and start tuning that sucker.

I actually enjoyed the article. It shows that tuning is not all about buying the most expensive part and throwing it on your car. You actually have to "tune" it, parts on a car work as a package not just as one.

after reading that article, im going STi, it was overall the best for its price, the vishnu was better but it costed way more than an STi. so id buy n Sti then soup it up if i wanted to.

the visnu didnt' cost way more downshift?
Total price was let see...lemme grab that article....$33,295

You think you are gonna get an STI for much less than that? Besides....the vishu had a stereo too....buy the stereo option for the STI and you are gonna be right their with vishnu.

Vishnu impressed...wish they would have a tuner battle...like cobb/vishnu/TXS face off.

Damn, why did cobb's wrx have to run into that watertruck. It was one of the most developed wrx's in the country before it met its maker.

really? oh hmm my mistake then, i had no idea the vishnu WRX costed $33,295, that is very impressive then, i have the magazine but im too lazy to look through it, ima look through it again. but i do remember the STi being right behind the vishnu, for a stock car, thats very impressive.

Was I the only one noticed that the vishnu car was running really sticky tire. Look they make good products but they where a dead ringer to win. I don't think it was a fair test. I wish they would have had more content like they have in the past

The SPI car was not built for the track. It was a show car. The parts on that car at the time were specifically for big dyno numbers and looks. The guy who owns it posts on nasioc and the car is radically different already than it was in the article. The Vishnu car was great and shows the potential of a properly tuned WRX. It also shows that no WRX without major investment will stand up to a well-modded STi. Not that it matters, but the stock STi retains it's warranty; it's unlikely that those modded WRXs would.
