speeding ticket

i was driving through kansas to go home for a break from college when I was pulled over after 9 hours of driving by myself when i got pulled over. It was an 83 in a 70. Does anyone know what happens if you don't pay a ticket from states you don't live in.

If they are linked up with other states, they can theoretically issue a warrant for your arrest for not paying the citation. But I doubt that a cop in a neighboring state would bother, but then again?

heh, i got pulled over doing 107 in a 75... and i don't have my license yet
:\
long story short, i owe the state of neveda a lot of money, (i live in Cali) and according to them if I do not pay in 2 weeks there will be a national warrent for my arrest
:(

ack speeding =(

If there is anything In my life that I hate, it is bad drivers, and cops. why should they post speed limits (for GOOD drivers) that are ment to protect morons from hurting them selves driving to fast. They should change the licence system completely. MOST people shouldnt drive! how many times have u been on your way to work or to the store and u have to slam on the brakes or swerve out of the way to avoid some moron who decided to turn infront of you because they thought they had the right of way. Every day i think it gets worse !
heh heh anyway. if I where presisdent I would make a new system that incorporates multiple driving tests and exams for those who are able and willing, if you dont pass the advanced tests you dont drive past the speed limit. If you are a good driver you should get added bennefits for the road. like being able to advance the speed limit by up to 50%. by the way....these tests should be VERRY hard and complicated.

as far as other states tickets go....50% of the time they dont care...40% of the time u just loose your right to operate in that state, and the other 10% u get scewed. o yea and just hope your insurrance doesnt find out iether =)

pay the ticket. i got a ticket in kansas, i live in colorado also, and my license was revoked because i blew it off. i didn't find out it was revoked till the next time i got pulled over. it will be more expensive if you don't pay it now. and you could get in a bad situation from it. if you were to get pulled over out of state with a revoked license, you could very well go away in handcuffs. maybe in-state as well.
most stated are hooked up w/ each other thanks to the computer age.

and daredevil-you are an absolute moron.

what state have speed limits of 70 and 75 I live in mass and am stuck with a 65 limit on the highways

the sucker king Mar 1, 2003 05:06 PM

most western and plains states.

ExtremeWRX03 Mar 2, 2003 12:55 PM

I also found in mass atleast out of state tickets arent on your driving record so you can pay the ticket and not worry about an insurance increase its a win-lose situation either way
