NEED HELP deciding between an 04 and an 03' rex
 

Hey everyone im new here. Im having troubles deciding between an 03 and an 04' wrx. I can't find any of the colors i want at the dealers in CT on 03' but i can find them on 04's



my question is, what are the differences besides the facelift on the 04?

Nothing significant. Pretty much pick the front end you like (as long as you can find the right color.)

Front and rear ends, center-mounted tach, suspension changes, electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) in the ABS, new seats, option for power moonroof and heated seats, mirrors, and wipers if you're feeling rich, boost gauge gets mounted on the left if you buy it. There's a couple other things, I forget. I'd go for the 04, the hood scoop is more aggressive and the same size as the 03 STi one. ;)

black or gunmetal wheels with a polished lip.. etc etc..

is the new 04 black just like the 03? I hate looking at my car when light is directly hitting it. It turns a midnight blue with sparkles in it. I guess this is the midnight pearl part of midnight pearl black.....

the black on the 04's is java black pearl

The new black turns brown in the sunlight. Its gross. Looks like poop if you ask me. Some people seem to like it though, you'll have to see it and decide for yourself.

lol why dont they just make BLACK. Whenever i see my car in the shade or at night its great. But serious the sparkly stuff doesn't do anything for me.

Midnight BLUE Pearl is your color officially. You can see, up close those colors of the past. History is in your paint! HISTORY I TELL YOU! :p

You have Sedona Red Pearl, Hunter Green, and Rally Blue Pearl... also some old school yellow. At night, at the right angle your car goes from black to a deep deep, dark blue. I love it. It's a bad ass color!

for your information...
as a previous owner of 2 black cars, i would like to warn you that they are a pain in the ass to maintain clean. It always stays dirty unless you like washing your car every 2 days. I did not learn my lesson with the first car, and ended up getting another black car. Now i have a silver car on order. i gave up trying to maintain that showroom shine.
don't get me wrong, black looks beautiful when the car is clean.
Also, i don't care if anybody disagrees...from my experience, a black car with black interior gets really really hot inside during the summer. hotter than other cars.
