Just bought 04 WRX, Mods?
Like I said I just bought a 2004 WR blue WRX,
What were people's first mods that they did for their rides?
Help me out.
WRX is awsome compared to my old Prelude:banana:

If you dont live where emissions is checked. Get a catless up pipe or header with up pipe. A catless or high flow down pipe. Buy one that has an open bell mouth. Get a CEL fix too. If you get rid of all three cats the CEL "check engine light" will be on. A CEL fix does just that. Vivid Racing has the CEL fix for somthin like $25 bucks. Best power gains. A cat back exhaust is also a very good area to save weight and gain power. For the intake you could take out the silencer and put in a drop in K&N for cheap power. Gruppe-S has some sweet deals with exhausts. Have fun with your new car.

Up and Downpipe. I'd say get it from Gruppe-S. They gave me a free cel fix when I got my downpipe. You can get a deal from them too.
Up + Downpipe = $450 free shipping and cel fix
I'd say get their Uppipe their Gruppe-S Manifold combo. Its $499 and the manifold on its own is $399 so you get the uppipe for $100.

Thanks guys, I have been looking into the Cobb ECU reflash, but I am going to wait until my warrenty is done before I get hardcore into it, but on the way I am driving, that will be in the next couple months! haha
I have a catless up pipe, catless down, Apexi N1 cat back, Fidenza flywheel, ACT clutch, Injen intake, Auto Meter Boost, 17 inch wheels, and had a Vivid racing short throw shifter. At 8,000 miles my 2nd gear syncro went out. So I took the car in and the tranny was replaced by warranty. I dont think that it is what you have on your car but who you have work on your car. Another dealer wouldnt touch my car b/c of an aftermarket parts. They just gave me the error codes.

Lol, seems like everyone is going from Preludes to WRXs. Just totaled my 5th gen 'lude (R.I.P.), just ordered 2k4 WRX. The reflash sounds like a good idea. A Rear strut or anti-sway bar would also probably be a good choice, remove some of the WRXs nasty from-factory understeer. I was also not impressed with the brakes on the test drive, and my Endless pads are already in the mail:-D

I have done the following:
1) TurboXS Turbo Back Exhaust
2) Cusco Rear Sway Bar
3) GT-Spec Endlinks
4) Samco IC Hoses
and a few other minor things.
The rear sway bar/endlinks combo was the BEST MOD by far of the above. The 2004 WRX has way too much understeer and the sway bar and endlinks made my car neutral steering. No matter how fast the car is, if it cannot handle, then the power is wasted.
I have pre-ordered the Cobb AccessPort so that is my next mod along with Goodridge SS Brake Lines.
I would replace the RE92 tires but my wife would kill me!
The stock tires are pretty poor in the twisties. Next set (when these wear out) will probably be the RE950's but 225/50/16 instead of the stock 205/55/16.
Let us know what you do first and how you like the mod.
