Jdm Gc8 Vs Usa Gc8?

Hi. I'm new here. I'm planning to buy a Impreza GC8 2Dr Coupe, and I need some info on GC8. Can anyone post a chart or something that compares JDM GC8 with USA GC8? I really don't know which USA GC8 model is equivalent to which JDM GC8 model. My friend told me that there's no STi or WRX version GC8 in the USA,and even the engine is different(SOHC?/No Turbo). Are these correct? Well,I really appreciate if someone can give me a chart that compares JDM model GC8 with USA model GC8. Thanks for all your help:) :) :)

Do some research. :)

the highest level 'gc8' in the US.

(us chassis codes GM6 = impreza coupe, GC6 = impreza seden)

is the Impreza 2.5 RS

2.5L 165hp, 166ftlbs normally aspirated.

production 98-2001

1998 was a DOHC engine, 99-01 SOHC.

there are some other differences between MYs.

do some homework here and on other subaru sites, you'll find all the info you need.

hope that helps.

Your friend is correct that there was not WRX or factory turbo GC style Impreza in US. Check the following site, and you will know more about our Impreza :)

Good luck

98 and 99RS's didn't come with a rear LSD either. The LSD became stock with the MY00-01 cars. 98-99 also used a MAF and the newer ones used a MAP.
