Interchangealbe Parts?
I have been debating for a long time over whether to get a wrx or an 00/01 25.rs and have finally decided on the 2.5rs. I was wondering what all is available to be swapped out? I am pretty sure most suspension parts are swappable, but what other stuff will? I know that engine stuff is going to be specific(like that needed mentioning). But what about brake upgrades? Wheels fitting under the fenders(16/17??). Any info would be nice.

Body style, cost, stuff like that. I like the 2.5rs, plus there are like 5billion wrx's in Pullman(which is like a 25k pop.). Gas mileage was also one, although the wrx and 2.5 aren't all that different, because it is a 300 mile drive to go home from school. The car I have now gets 15mpg so anything will be an improvement over that. But I do like the body style of the 2.5rs more than the wrx. Plus since I am buying myself and have no credit, my parents are cosigning for me to help me get a lower interest rate and all(but I am still paying for it in full), and my mom refused to sign for a 25k car because she didn't think I needed a 25k car for my first bought car. Which I kind of see her point. But enough rambling from me.

Cost is not that huge of a problem. If I really wanted a wrx I would just take out a loan myself. I have just decided on a 2.5rs. I will most likely swap the motor out for a 2.5(STi) in a few years once I am out of school. But I really like the 2.5rs body style more than the wrx. But anyone know about any interchangeable more than what I have listed above?

XstevenX,
have you heard of the Holander(?) Interchange Manual? Its the little secret that most junkyards use, but wont tell you about. Not too sure if theres one for the new subes yet, but well worth a try for anyone changing parts or hitting up the yard, knowing your parts options makes things less expensive. You may be able to find it at your local university library. Just my $.02.
