If I change my hid light on my 2007 sti will I have the adjustment to change the level of the light or not?

I read it just fine. He wants to put aftermarket HIDs in and is wondering if the leveling switch that adjusts the headlight levels, that comes standard on STis, will still be functioning. I think. haha.

But one thing, do you plan on switching out the whole kit, as in getting a 35w/55w ballast with bulbs or just putting in new bulbs?

I'm planning to buy a aftermarket hid kit which mean everything is new

You don't use HID kits with OEM HID lighting. They may be D2S fitment bulbs, but most HID kit bulbs still don't fit properly and the bulb sits in different place within the optic. With real HID equipment you need to be using *real* (ie Philips) bulbs. Kit bulbs and ballasts also don't last as long as reputable brands. New bulbs can be had for ~$60 while the ballasts will cost a bit more.

+1 to that. even though its more expensive...its quality stuff. if you are on a budget, I'd reccommend DDM tuning HID kits. At least they offer a limited lifetime warrenty on their kits.

I have 2 ddm kits in place of my factory low and high beams. fitament is spot on, leveler works. have compared the ddm bulb to a much more expensive phillips bulb and I'll stick with my 1/4 the cost bulb.

DDM is also known for short life spans.

One of my buddies has had 2 ddm sets in his cars. One is 2 years old and the other is 6 years old. No issues. Few other friends purchase ddm kits but Im not sure what their experiences have been with them
