Talking Great news!!

Hey everyone...I joined this site a few months ago (about june/july) and today I can finally say I own my first Subaru...05 WRX 5-speed....went from a 97 protege. What an upgrade! From a n\a FF car to a 227hp turbo AWD. After around 3000rpm when the turbo kicks in is such a rush...this is going to be fun. Sorry about pic being dark. it gets dark around here like 5-530 now. ill try to post more tomorrow after noon.

Yes, boost is addictive.... :-) Soon you'll get boost hungry and start looking for things to make your car even more boosty... then it's hard to stop modding. :-) Go for a canyon run, and you'll fall even more in love with you car.

Yea down there sucks for roads just long straight...boring. up here there might a few twisties but nothing like canyons or mountian roads. Switching to another topic, I went to the Subaru dealer today to get more keys and alarm thing (fob?), any ways I asked how much for STi hood scoop they said $250 and they have a paint shop at the Saab dealer like two dealers down and they said it should be about $150 for paint. so about $400 total. Does this seem like good deal since I havent found anywhere online to get the hoodscoop. To me it doesnt seem too bad, basically what I expected from a Subaru dealer. Please let me know what you think. Thanks

dude, sorry but thats a rip-off!

I got mine for $180 (paintedwrb). Paint matches perfect, got it from thaison at j-spectuning.com I picked it up from him, so no shipping charges. There are plenty of other places you can get it too, check out the vendor forums

congrats on the subie!!

great, thanks. I'll check that out today since I dont know if a cat back will void warranty or not. if it doesnt ill try to get that this christmas if it will void I'll get hoodscoop.

Just check websites and thanks again they look like good prices for the parts.Again I have another question, do the STi rotors and calipers fit under the stock 16 inch rims my car comes with.
