Is this is a good deal for 2020 STI?

Hi,

I have been working with multiple Subaru dealership for a 2020 STI Base with no options. So far the best deal that I have been offered is $34,870. This is just the price of the car and not including tax, tags/dmv and document fee.

Both KBB and Edmunds invoice price shows $35,860 and for TrueCar Excellent Price is anything under $35,396. I know that if I compare what I am getting offered is better than KBB, Edmunds and TrueCar.

I wanted to know what you all think if this is a good deal or if I should keep on looking to see if I can get anything lower than $34,870.

Thank you,

I was able to get the OTD pricing that includes the Tax, Tags and $395 Document Fee.

Here is the final OTD:

$34,870 (Car Invoice) + $2,963..95 (CA Tax 8.50%) + $395 (Doc Fee) = $38,228.95.

I found a local Subaru dealership close to where I live that is offering me $38,766 OTD. The other offer that I got for $38,228.95 OTD is from a dealership outside of my state.

I wanted to know if the $38,766 OTD is also a good deal and if its better to go with this then the out of state one as I will need to get it shipped. I was informed by the out of state dealership for shipping cost would be between $800-$900.

Here is a breakdown between the 2 dealerships (Bay Area California and out of state)

Bay Area California Subaru Dealership 2020 STI Base Model Crystal White Pearl no options
Selling price: $35129.98
CA Sales tax: $2993.27
CA license fee: $557.75
Documentation: $85.00
Grand total: $38766.00

Out of State Subaru Dealership 2020 STI Base Model Crystal White Pearl no options:
Selling price: $34,870
CA Sales tax: $2,963.95
Documentation: $395.00
Grand total (without Shipping): $38,228.95
Shipping: $800-$900
Grand total (With Shipping): $39,028.95 - $39,128.95

I also have a $500 Ambassador Subaru coupon that I can use.

I am leaning towards going with the Bay Area California Subaru Dealership.

What do you think?
