Going to africa and need advice on exhaust
I am going to Africa for work, leaded gasoline only and I have a 2002 Outback. I need to have the catalytic converters pulled. Problem is finding someone who knows anything about it, I had one shop tell me no problem they would pull everything and not to worry about the O2 sensors did not need them??????? I was glad when found this site and people who know what is going on because I need some help. The questions I need to get answered are:
There are 3 converters any problem with air flow and possible backflow if they are all pulled? Do they all need to be pulled? (one shop said 2 are pre cat's and did not need to be pulled)
Where are the O2 sensors, I only see 1?
Does anyone know of anyplace in the Northern VA, Washington DC area that can do the work correctly?
I already have the letter from the Gov't saying it is ok to pull the converters.
Thanks for the help!
