Not everyone came here just for the OT forum. The people who've been around a long time and added to the Tech sections were what made the I-Club as big as it was. Not because of OT. People can talk about random crap on any site. Finding useful info and people is hard to do.

Well some of the info could be put onto a site and Alex could just link to the info to save his site bandwidth and speed. One of the DSM sites just used to burn the database onto a CD and sell them.

The big issue was that noone archived anything on the "other site"

If they archived it and had it run seperately I'm sure it woukld speed up daily activities.

BTW:Archiving is usually the job of the moderators in their specific forum,s that they look over.But all those mods are more interested in other things.

That CD thing is a pretty cool idea. That's the first I've heard of something like that. Could also come in handy when my DSL goes out. I could just pop in the CD and trick myself into thinking I'm online.
