Foglight cracked

So.. I was washing my car today and I noticed one of my foglights is cracked. What would be the best thing to do? I was thinking about getting a new one or possibly putting the yellow film on them? or maybe clear film just to keep it from cracking further and seal it, Or is there a way to just get the glass piece and replace it? Any input helps. Thanks guy!

i had a rock fly trough my fog light. i just end up ordering a new glass from my dealer, and got fog light caps for like 30$ i think, that protects them from anything else that can break em.

wrong. depends what dealer you go to i guess. ive broken numerous things ranging from interior to license plate bulbs and theyve fixed them no questions asked. id definitely go to the dealer and have a story. like the above said worse they can say is no.

^ Also depends on what warranty you got. There are different levels that go from just mechanical stuff to absolutely everything.

i guess my warranty doesn't cover that, because i had to replace my right mirror and a fog light glass and they didn't cover that, but when my air conditioner compressor broke, they fix it with out a problem

Then you bought the drivetrain warranty (mechaincal associated with engine/tranny/etc..), not the FULL warranty, which literally covers everything on the car but costs twice as much.

I put the yellow laminex on my fogs and it was quite simple and it should protect from most small dings/chips, but if something big hits them, they are still going to crack IMO.

I'll call the dealership and ask them, If not then I will probably just get the yellow or clear tint to seal the crack from water, and get the plastic covers again, I had them before but someone stole them or they fell off. But I didn't realize until I was washing my car so I'm not sure. :/ Thanks for the help guys!
