Factory tech man pages
Does anyone have the factory tech manual for their subby. I saw one of the tech's at the dealership using one to diagnose my car. Is it worth the eighty bucks?
The print version of the manual is a lot more than $80, closer to $300.
However you can download it in electronic form from the Subaru tech website. For a subscription fee of $34.95, you get 72-hour access to download as much of the manual as you need. It's a bit tedious as it's broken up into a large number of pdf files, and there is a 20 file per hour limit, but well worth the cost compared to the hard copy version. Just be sure to set aside sufficient time to get what you need, and a broadband connection is a must.

i got my set of print manuals off ebay for about $150... supposedly used but you wouldnt know it when i got them - perfect condition... look up the user "manuals4you" on ebay and go to his store, then search "impreza" and you should get a couple hits... well worth every penny... or you can try one of the manuals on disc available on ebay but i have no experience with those and don't know how thorough they really are... definitely cant go wrong w/ the factory manuals
The CDs on Ebay are unauthorized copies of the Subaru manuals, no guarantee what you will get with those. For a bit more money you can go right to the source and be sure you are downloading the correct and most recent manual for your car.
A set of used print manuals should be fine to buy on Ebay, since they would have to be the official ones if they're for a late model Subaru. You'd just want to see good pics to know they're in decent condition.
