Do they use steel to build the roll cage and what guage? That would seem like a lot of weight being added.

yes, chrome-moly steel pretty much standard in cage construction, the weights not really an issue since WRC cars have a minimum weight of 2700 lbs so even in full race trim they are usually adding ballast to meet the minimum weight;) |

I'd like to just get the seams welded on my car. Don't think I'd need a roll cage for an everyday driver but the seam welding is practical for street and track. Anyone from Vermont Motorsports in here? Also, how long does this process take?
