manual center diff ????
I am waiting on my sti (should arrive next week) but I have obtained a copy of the manual. The discription of the center diff controls seems particularly poorly written.
I guess what I am wondering is... how much power is shifted to the rear in what settings?
And for those of you lucky enough to already have a STI, what settings do you like and how much difference does it make in the performance of the car.
does it really behave that much more like a rear-driver, ie. turn in on lift off, correctablity and added oversteer????
thanks,
scoobiedoobie

Full forward is ("lock") 50% front-50% rear.
Full aft is 35% front-65% rear, everything else is in between 50/50 and 35/65 split.
For the street I'd leave it in auto.
For the track, at least the twisties we have here, full aft.
Hope that kinda helps.

This description isn't any better than the maunal.
1) 50/50 is the subject of much debate. What lock really is....35/65 but with a locked center diff
2) Full aft is 35/65 with and open diff
3) Everything in-between is varing levels of lock on the center diff
4) Why only Auto on the street?
5) Why open diff on the track? Please post your reasons and experience.
6) This helps, but leaves too many questions
