blown up sti!

work at a subaru dealership in phoenix,parts got a phone call a couple on days ago.someone already blew up there sti.they put nos on it-stupid! anyway its $6,100 for a long block--oops!

Maybe it was that kid 'IllNastyImpreza' who swore running NOS in an STi would do it well...and that 'air' is 40% oxygen (O2).

he he ,nos in a new sti? is he just insane. doesnt the new sti already run high boost and high compression? i wouldnt even spray a wrx since the #3 piston gets all the heat.i assume the sti has the same design flaw and thus never use n2o.

I highly doubt someone already ran nitrous on their STi AND blew the engine. I'm sure it was just someone trying to source the STi block and how much it will cost.

sti motors are not for retail sale.have to be bought through
dealership with vin number and repair order open on vehicle

Nice! I would love to have that enine in my car. I wonder how the drive by wire would work out in our rides though?

I don't know, I just don't really trust that engine though.

I'll hold out for a turbo Forester motor since I just want the 235 pounds of torque and have no desire to pay the $30K plus for the STI to buy it new or pay the $5K plus for the STI motor.
