According to my Subaru sources, there will NOT be a 2005 Sti imprezza imported in this country...
This information was revealed at a subaru meeting last week to a friend of mine that is the parts manager at a local dealership...
They only so often will make a special car to boost their image .
There is STI everywhere for sale right now and i trust my reliable source.
I will recommend that you do not wait for 2005 to buy one because you will be sorry .

The STi after 05 will definetly dissappear
Pinging happens when you use ****ty gas owner's manual calls for 93 or higher 91 as last resort meaning only if your about to run out of gas ans the station you roll up to only has 91 not i live in smog central california that's ruining sports cars for everyone w/ emissions laws and that's the highest they got.
On 93 there is no pinging whatsoever and on 100octane gains of 5-10whp can be seen.

optional 5 speed- why have 5 when you have 6
white discontinued- one of the best looking colors for the sti
red color option- maybe, but how many red cars do you see on the road
less pink!!- traditional sti color, takes a real man to drive!

dont think its gonn ahappen though
Should the STI disapear they would still offer a performance model along the lines of that weird looking concept.
But I doubt that they will since then mitsubishi will own the market in that segment. Why would Subaru permit that? I don't think they would.

Why would they?
Like someone else posted in this forum. Why would they stop production of a car that competes againts the Evo and have them control the entire market. I really hope that doesn't happen. I would like to get me an STI, but right now I just don't have the cash. Share the love man share the love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think so... I was just at the dealership and I was talkin to one of the dealers and they said that the STi will be back next year for the 05 nothing will be changed for now, that it will just be in way limited numbers. I honestly hope he is right. Cause I want one.
