Soundstream 1000-2

I am planning on an upgrade to a Soundstream 1000-2. I am wondering if anyone else has one in their WRX and if they have had any problems with their charging system, or if it has burned up any alternators. I will be running a 300 watt alpine as well. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You should be fine, but i would add a capacitor, 1 farad at least, just to take a little strain off of your alternator.
