Questions About Proposed STi Sound System

im researching the pieces for my STi(when i get it....soon )
and ive came up with these so far:

Alpine CDA-7995 Head Unit
Diamond Audio M661 6.5" components(front)
Diamond Audio M351i 5.25" coax(rear)
Amp???
Spacer Kit from East Coast Scooby

Anything else?

i need a couple of answers...if you all dont mind...

for the head unit...im assuming it can be removed when you have to park the car somewhere where you dont like the neighborhood? i.e., does it have a detachable face?

what kind of spacers would i need from ECS to install front and rear speakers??? thin or thick?

and do i need an amp???
i have an amp just for my speakers in the cabin and another one powering my sub in the trunk in my current car, which was installed by a pro shop as I'm a audio noob
if so, can you recommend a good amp???
maybe a link too?

thats it for now...i'll add anything if i think of more later

Thanks For Your Time

get a soundstream or alpine amp.

I personally don't like Sony or Pioneer, but thats just my personal preference.

if you want to save some money buy some infinity refrence components .. they sound awsome. you can pick up a pair for around $250 and you dont need an amp as long as your head unit can supply 20w RMS .. and most do. But if your looking more at high end speakers go w/ infinity perfect or alpine. Stay away from rockford, sony xplod, kenwood, and pioneer .. they are all made by pioneer and quite cheeply.

Also, the Alpine amp you have chosen is a good choice but expensive .. look at MA Audio's digital amps, you will get alot mor bang for your buck with them .. also high quality.

the 7995 requires an amp

im pretty content on my proposed system...
im not really an audiophile...just something to pass the time on long trips :)
