Pioneer UD-SW80D enclosure underseat
Anybody running this box under the passenger seat? Pioneer UD-SW80D Single down-firing sealed enclosure for 8" shallow sub at Crutchfield.com
I have the Pioneer TS-SW841D shallow sub and trying to find a box for it that will fit under my 04 wrx passenger seat. Anyone have it installed? |
^^ it fits incase anyone was wondering. I ended up buying it to try it out. Fits in my 04 wrx wagon under the seat with no problems. Nice little box.

Hmm i like this! Beats the one subaru gave me under my seat 5" sub in a plastic box :P
|
How does it sound? and does the sub smack the floor board when you have the bass on.
|
Sounds good and what you could expect from a 8in. Its not anything thats gonna blow you out the car like the bigger subs will, but for someone looking for a better solution to the stock sub setup, its great. The box is made specifically for that shallow pioneer sub and wont hit the floor. Its more then enough bass for me and fills the lowerend well.

interesting set up I might have to do this!
|
great, I'm gonna build similar box,
What exactly Subwoofer can fit in? |
You guys that do not want the big sub system should look into the Aura bass shaker.Back in the day my brother had 87 toyota pick up and no more for any subs so we put 2 shakers one on each side of the truck and that thing sounded like it had some beat pretty crazy.

any chance u have any picture of this setup installed. What amp are u using to run in?
|
I didnt take any pics when I was installing it. You cant really see it since the box is under the passenger seat and the amp is mounted under the driver seat. I have a Alpine pdx v9 amp running it all (pioneer sub box, alpine 6 1/2 components in front & 5 1/4s in rear). It took alot of dremeling to make the door speakers work. Then I ran the system to a Clarion nx602 unit. Hooked up navigation & sirius radio to it.... overall pretty happy with it all
|
^^^^ that sounds like a great system. Im looking for something better then stock but not so intense as a full trunk setup. I just happen to find a pair of AudioBahn components that im hoping will fit in the front doors. From what I can tell they might be cutting the size a little close even with the speaker spacers that different companies make.
