X post, need your input on pricing...

Hey guys/gals,

As a few of you know, I'm a "Noob" here looking to buy very soon, I've been looking around and test driving 06 WRXs and am in love. I am looking to get an 06 WRX with the spoiler and auto-dimming mirror being the only option I want. So, my question to you is does the OTD $26,705.93 seem like a good price?. (If I used the $500 discount instead of the special apr I would be at $26,165.18)

Any input would be great.

my 05 wagon with short throw shifter, dimming mirror, extended armrest, cargo tray, and wheel locks plus extended warranty and maintenance plan was ~26.5k OTD. i dunno 06 pricing though. hope that helps?

25 OTD

e maill all the dealers in a 100 mile range and see who comes in the lowest

dont get the wing

compas mirror is the only option i got

Markadopolus Sep 21, 2006 04:56 PM

You might be able to get it a little cheaper. And dont get the spoiler. Wingless trunks are hotter. Depending on where you are, email reza at santa monica subaru. He will beat any other dealers price. Then once you get it.....Take it anywhere but santa monica for service.

mark use your jew powers and get this for 25 OTD

UberMaus Sep 21, 2006 05:04 PM

ha ha.. then it would be a jewEDburu

Sweet!!! Mark, help the brotha out

thanks

thanks for the input guys.

so far i've been emailing the folks at south coast subaru, irvine subaru, timmons subaru and am still waiting to hear back from renick....i think i will expand my 20 mile radius and see what others can do for me.

the wing isn't super important to me, i just think it looks a little naked without it...i suppose i could save about $300 if i didnt get it.

forgot to mention, i'm in long beach.

Is NEVER a bad thing.. well, unless your talking about spiderman :barf:.. Just think... Naked girls.. Now isn't that hawt to like the 974937593457 power?? (unless of course your talking about spiderman :barf: ). So anyway, yeah naked and wingless looks might tasty like mark said... Of course, it ultimately falls on your own preference. What works for others, doesn't always have to work for you. :D good luck with your purchase..

Thanks for the input, here comes another nooB question....What is the difference between the TR and the regular Sedan? I was looking around but didn't see anything on the subaru site that really differentiated the two.

Isn't the TR - Tuner ready (or was that the evo...) .. which basically means its gutted out with the stuff tuners usually strip out anyway? e.g. radio, power windows, etc... I could be wrong...

yup

trim stuff

w00t for long beach

beedee Sep 22, 2006 02:37 PM

Thanks for the info, I just heard back from Jennifer at SCS and she said the differences include:

Racing style seats are on the WRX
6 disc in dash CD player in the WRX
Fog lights standard on the WRX
Bottom racing skirt at the bottom of the WRX
Color matched side mirrors on the WRX

I've still yet to contact other dealers outside of my 20 mile radius, but you guys think I should be able to get the 06 WRX for $25k OTD? Cheapest quote I've received was the one I listed in my first post, and another so. cal dealer said they would beat it by $100.00.
