New here

eh man, anybody have the 411 on when '04 WRX is arriving? i've already put my $100 deposit down for a silver model, but i'm drunk and impatient... grrrrrrrrrrrrr. i hear earliest march and latest april, i've already bought a momo shift knob but it's getting lonely without the car.

Nice to meet you. No 411 on the 2004's yet, maybe in August!

Nomotive 02-19-2003 01:18 AM

Sup Val, well thanks for breaking my heart with news of August arrival. Time is becoming a tease, just f*cking with me. Ima harrass my salesguy and get him to bring my car sooner! But if i must wait, then i must. The redesign in really sweet so its definitely worth it. How do you like your car Val? Had it for long? I originally looked into an Audi for the interior, but the price the dealers were asking was just ludacrous. 30k, for an overpriced underpower overweight compact sedan is just too much... one day an S4. Been looking into exhuast as first real mod... so many makes to choose. The HKS carbon\ti is most promising choice, just got to find down-pipe to go with. But im still kinda confused with the whole exhaust set-up as i wanna retain some cats to pass emissions. Don't wanna overwhelm so i cut it here... peace.

could you put the boost to 0 with less cats and still pass cuz you dont have to go on the treadmill they just rev it up to 2k rpm is what i have been hearing i dunno
what do you think is going to be faster the us STI or us EVO on the streets?

Nomotive 02-19-2003 01:46 AM

From what i read the STI should outperform the EVO by hp\tq figures... 5 sec 0~60 for sti, the extra .5 liter displacement helps a lot for the power its putting down. The EVO has the modified awd system, where the driver can change the settings so that is a plus. On the outside the evo looks better but the interior looks way cheap to me, my opinion. I'd rather go with the Sti, but I won't really know which car is better until some magazine compares them head to head... i'd like to see that eventually. Frankly with the boost setting and emissions test im a clueless noob.

Since it's 2:00 am, there is another thread discussing the new STI. BTW the STI is way better than the EVO.
