not to be mean but rotas are cheap, i don't think they should be put in any high end cars such as subies specially stis, my friend has rota slipstreams once on his civic and it cracked on the track. you get what you paid for , i told him.

I think you miss the point of them buying those Rotas. In most cases, they end up keeping the BBS wheels for summer or track use. Most of the time, they simply buy Rota's as winter wheels (something you in Southern California wouldn't know about ) so they do not have to change tires every october. I do this too, though not with Rotas, as just changing wheels (~20min) is hella easier than changing tires ($ + time at the tire shop). Besides, to many of us "Midwesterners" (well, i'm sorta a mid westerner, and many people in general the "BBS" name is not very important, and the form/function is much better (BBS are better wheels though, and that is why they get used as track wheels).

I am not doubting BBS' quality at all, just to some of us in the snow belt we would rather not destroy $1100 wheels in the winter. Besides, they are best suited for track use (and IMO, are not very pretty) and why waste a perfectly good set on the street?

Pictures possibly? I have seen Rotas hold up to LOTS of abuse on the track, and have yet to see one break or crack. This may just be luck, but I have never seen anyone do this here.

Cheap does not always mean bad quality...

This proves my point exactly....rotas are cheap, and thus are used for the winter season....i assuming cuz it puts a beating on the rims...and they dont want to mess up their nice BBS's...I dont see anyone buying volks to use for the winter...since rotas are so cheap (pricewise), how can someone even compare the two?? In some cases, you couldnt even buy 1 volk wheel for the cost of a set or rotas...as far as not being able to tell the difference visually....no comment...
