Well...
*SPORTSHIFT is a registered trademark of Prodrive Ltd # Paddle shift is featured to allow manual shifting without requiring the driver to release the steering wheel. # Downshifting Blipping Control system was adopted. When down-shifting, the automatic transmission control unit interacts with the engine management system and increases engine revolutions instantly and to the exact required setting. # Changing gears with the paddle shift can also be done by a temporary operation that does not require the selection lever to be set to the manual position.
If the transmission is what it says it is, hopefully it wont break like other auto gearsets out there. The ISF, EVO MR, GTR, a bunch of EURO crap have this so for Subaru to follow step is basically a trend. |
Ohhh, ok Paddles would be fun...
|
is it a true dual clutch box or just an auto box with the flappy paddles?
i do0ubt that it would be a dual clutch setup. probably jsut an auto with paddles
Its hard to say what it is unless the complete specs are up All that I read from the blog and various sites is...
*SPORTSHIFT is a registered trademark of Prodrive Ltd
The regular auto trans for a Subaru is a 5EAT while this is an E5AT. Sport Shift is a trademark of Prodrive so that means something is up with the transmission.
# Paddle shift is featured to allow manual shifting without requiring the driver to release the steering wheel. # Downshifting Blipping Control system was adopted.
Never heard of a auto trans doing throttle blips. Can't confirm if its a DCT or a DSG. All that I know is systems like this are a huge fad in Japan. |
