91 Octane Got you down? Need More Octane?
 

I figured I would post this in the so cal forum because you guys probably have the worst gas in the nation ....

When I bought my STi in July, I couldn't find any 93 Octane for it where I live ... I got detonation at 4k rpms ... it sucked ...

I researched and researched ... (after trying like every octane booster from the car parts stoere)

Finally, I found this:

I've been using both versions in my car for over 10,500 miles. Nothing is wrong, and I've been running a mix to have about 97 Octane or so ... ever single day .....

It worked for me... I'm sure it can benefit you guys too.... plus, it's really easy to cart around in your trunk ... much easier than the good ol mixture of toluene or xylene ... (which I used to use every day on my 02 WRX)

It sucks having a meth lab in your garage ... this is a lot easier, and seems to work ...

the pdx guys up in oregon and warshington seem to like this stuff.

nebraska has crappy gas too?

Oh yes ...

BP/Amoco stations have 92 ..... (about 10 of them scattered all over the city)

Everything else ... a best of 91 Octane ....

hang onto your 92 while you can, 91 at best here unless you pay $6 a gallon for 100 octane although rumor has it, 76 is no longer going to refine 100. So we may be stuck paying $2.50 a gallon of 91 :rolleyes:

leave cali, lived there for 10 yrs, it's a craphole. Stupid laws, stupid people, crap gas, you name it, it's got it. Thank god im back home. miamiowns :monkey:

avg $ per gallon (prem) 2.15 ;)

which one do u buy?

is the fuel enhancer worth it?
