large diameter exhaust

I think 3-inch piping is pretty standard in the aftermarket. Are there any downpipes or exhaust systems that run higher than that?

Acutally i was looking to trade exhausts and the guy said my 3-inch greddy wasn't big enough because he has a 3 1/2 inch downpipe. He is looking to get a borla hush which he claims is 3 1/4.

I didn't think these numbers sounded right

He said your exhaust isn't big enough because "he has a 3 1/2" downpipe?" That sounds like scamming to me. Unless you have a monstrously big turbo, and you almost certainly don't, 3" is fine, and leaves you with far more exhaust options.

Yeah, I thought is was off but when I ran a search in google someone claims they have a borla hush system on an STi 3 1/2" diameter.

I know this is overkill but do they really make one that big?
