Cobb relfash with Boost Controller
Cobb relfash with Boost Controller
Hi all. i have always been a little annoyed with my car because i couldnt hit target boost with the accessport from cobb. i hit 1 bar alright but usually i cant even go over 1 bar until about 5k rpms in forth and 5th gear. its usually barely over 1 bar and drops back to 1. on the accessport, it prolly jumps to 15.7 oncew in a blue moon but it holds steady at 14.2 psi - 14.4 psi on a stage 2 map.
i have a turbo xs boost controller sitting at home and was wondering if it could hold the boost at about 15.5 psi more consistently. i remember readin something on the forums about it but cant find it. i dont remember hearing anything bad about using the boost controller since it was being set at the normal boost range from the maps.
i tried the revised maps and the HWG maps but still no luck. car is running perfect.

Don't add the boost controler, it is a bad idea, let the stock ecu handle boost control. If you can't hit the peak boost you want you can try tightening the wastegate arm a bit or put a slight restriction in the hose from the wastegate to the turbo.
im in new york. i had a friedn who was working on my car tighten tehe wastgate already. i tried the HWG map. cobb wasnt really able to help me when i called a few months back. thanks for the input so far.
