up/down pipe or exhaust?

i am planning to either change my up and downpipe (most likely to helix) and stick with the sti exhaust that i currently have on my wrx right now, or wait a little while on the up/down pipe and get an axleback first because i am seeing some pretty good deals on them. i am not sure which mod to go with first because financially i can only afford one until about another 2 months. which one is going to give me a more noticeable difference?

also just for reference, how does the blitz nur spec compare to the greddy evo2? i would really like something with the deepest rumble.

Axleback? Just get a real catback. Then get up and downpipes.

blitz is very loud and the greddy is quiet and has a nice rumble. The greddy is actually one of my favorites

I agree, don't bother with an axle back, if you are gonna change the rear section you might as well go with the full catback.

The blitz is a nice is exhaust, but it is VERY loud, especially combined with an uppipe and a downpipe, so you might want to look into it a bit more before buying it.

The greddy evo is a nice exhaust though, its pretty quiet, yet you can still here the rumble and it sounds great when you get on it.

I agree. I have the Greddy Evo 2, and it's a great catback. The only thing is that sometimes when I hear another suby pass by, I wish that mine was a louder exhaust. But then again, if you're going to get the up and down pipe, I don't think you're going to have to worry about that. but yeah, great low rumble and sets off car alarms hehe.

I actually heard a Greddy Evo 2 at school today, I think it was loud enough and very nice deep tone. I originally wanted to get the EVO2 but didnt feel like waiting it wasnt out then, so I got the Stromung dual tip.
