Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Almost ready Gruppe-S Garrett GT30R Turbo Kit :)

Hey guys,

After over a year in development, we are finally nearing the production stages of our new GT30R Turbo Kit for the WRX/STI.

This kit features:
*GT30R Custom spec ball-bearing turbo (T3/T4 available for you drag racers out there )
*Tial 38mm Wastegate
*Custom Uppipe
*Custom Downpipe
*Greddy Airinx Intake
*All necessary fittings, gaskets, etc.
*Fits 2002+ WRX and also 2004+ STI (6 speed case)
MSRP: $2399

We are in the process of developing tuned maps for this turbo and we should have some solid numbers of both 100 octane and C16 shortly. This turbo kit is pretty much a little monster and should be good for well over 500 HP.

Cheers,

Gary
Gruppe-S

Can you tame that beast with ECUTek? Or does it need to be a Link?

It can be tamed with the EcuTek, some of the bigger trim turbo's will require a different MAF housing setup to maximise the potential using race gas.

If you still need to use the stock maf are you guys also including an intake pipe with the kit or is that something else we need to buy? Also is a dump tube included in the kit or that something else needed to be made up by ourselves.

Per the above there will be a Greddy Airinex kit included. There is a external vent tube for the wastegate (sorry the image above is by no means the complete kit).

When your refer to RPMS are you talking about when does full boost hit? If so that really depends on trim of turbo used. Basically the smaller .63 unit will hit full boost at about 4k give or take differences in setup on a 2.0L, we are still finishing the final stage of mapping for the STI version so I don't have any concrete spool up numbers for the 2.5L other than that it's fast enough that I choose to use a GT35r instead
