Rattling/loose noise coming from bottom of car
Rattling/loose noise coming from bottom of car
Before, it would happen occasionally and I couldn't reproduce it when I tried. Now, I can reproduce it quite a few times. If I'm going 50-60 mph in 4th or 5th and I downshift to 3rd, something makes a loud noise like something is loose from underneath the car. It also happens when I am in reverse going uphill. Somebody said it could be my differential. Anybody else have an opinion? I checked my exhaust and everything is ok.

It's the exhaust rattling. I just had that problem with mine. It's probably hitting either the tranny or the rear subframe. It's always worse in reverse and upon deceleration.
You can try adjusting it around, or getting urethane (harder) exhaust hangers.
Good luck.

but lately it's gotten much worse. Before it never really made noise unless the downshift from 4th to 3rd at 60 mph and reverse on a hill, but now it makes noise with every turn and bump on the road, plus when downshifting at a lower speed now and even when in reverse on a flat road. I guess I will have to bring it to the dealership soon before something falls off
