with the mods you currently have, you should probably stick with the stock intercooler. a front mount has a much bigger core and lots of extra piping. that extra piping is going to add a bit more lag to your car.

An intercooler is actually one of the last mods you should make on a car that you are changing one piece at a time. I've sen cars with stock intercoolers put 270 hp to the ground.

You might consult with Cobb on their recommendations. Their maps are tuned for certain mods.

you can safely run the VF34 with the stock TMIC as long as you have decent tuning. if you're using Cobb tuning, you'll be fine.

Yup, there are cars w/ 300+ hp on the stock intercooler. And with the mods you have an intercooler is way down the line.

Ban Suvs (or anyone else who can answer), do you think that 300+ hp would require a bigger intercooler, not necessarily a FMIC, but maybe a bigger TMIC? I'd think that when you're pushing that much hp you'd want an intercooler a bit more efficient than the stock one.

Sounds like you haven't had your car tuned for it. Is there any truth to that statement?

I agree with the rest of the members that an upgraded intercooler should be towards the end of your modifications list. Perhaps the best time to consider it is when you upgrade to an aftermarket turbo. Then, you also have to consider whether you want a larger top mount of if you wish to switch to a front mount altogether.
No need to rush things. Just get a feel for your car after each mod before slapping something else on
